Dear Quilter,

Thank you for your interest in my machine quilting. If you have a special request, please let me know and I will find the pattern. Your quilt will be as free of pleats and wrinkles as your piecing will allow. I cannot "quilt out" fullness and wrinkles that have been pieced in.

It is very important that your quilt top and quilt back be square. This will ensure the least amount of stretching of the fabric. You can ship your quilt UPS or US Mail. Please insure your quilt for the full value. Attach your name, address and phone number and any other instructions you may have. I will call you when I get your order to go over quilting suggestions and to let you know when your quilt will be scheduled for the machine.

Dianne Krenik

Preparation of your quilt

  • All quilt tops must be pressed with all seams trimmed and ironed flat. All stray threads must be removed. There will be an additional charge of $20/hr to press the quilt and/or remove extra threads.
IMPORTANT: Stay stitch 1/8" around the entire quilt. This stabilizes the quilt and secures all seams.
  • Identify the head and foot of the quilt. Pin a tag labeled Head onto the head of the quilt.
  • Backing must be at least 6" (3" on each side) larger than the quilt top in both length and width. If there is a top to back, please identify that.
  • Make sure the quilt top and back are square.
  • Do not pin/baste the quilt.

How to figure the square yards

Measure the length of the quilt top in inches (L).
Measure the width of the quilt top in inches (W).
Multiply the length (L) times the width (W) to get the area (A).
Divide the area (A) by 1296 to convert to square yards.
Example: Queen-size quilt top 90" (L) x 108" (W) = 9720

9720/1296 = 7.5 square yards.
